Summarization Search Engines

The presentation will describe a new family of search engines called Summarization Search Engines that go beyond meta-searoh and clustering in addressing the limitations of traditional search engines.
Typically, a summarization search engine Identifies entities on pages (people and/or companies for instance), extracts attributes and relationships for those entities, determines which entities are the same across different pages and consolidates Information about them in unified summaries. In such a search engine, the result of a search Is no longer a list of pages or e.en an organized grouping of pages, but a list of distinct entitles along with a summary of all attributes consolidated from multiple sources.
Furthermore, a summarization search engine offers powerful search criteria traditionaliy limited to structured databases because of the inherent structure of the summaries it creates.This allows specific searches to flnd an entity (or groups of entities) based on its characteristics rather than the keywords associated with the entity. Zoomlnfo has successfully created such a search engine.
Today, It is being applied to gather information about people and organizations resulting in the largest organized source of data on people In business today, with over 29 million summaries of people in more than 3 million companies and organteations. This is a fully functionnal application currently in use by over 20% of the Fortune 500 for a range of business intelligence applications.

A Novel Noninvasive Digital Arterial Pulse Wave Analysis during Deep Breathing as an indicator of Significant Coronary Artery Disease

Background:
Previous studies have indicated that fluctuations in pulse wave amplitude (PWA) might be a predictor of coronary artery disease (CAD). Therefore analysis of the respiratory modulation spectral response (RMR) of the PWA during deep breathing at a frequency of 0.1 Hz is performed by a novel Cardiometer device, utilizing a photo plethysmograph sensor, attached to the patient’s finger and a proprietary software. The device produces immediate result with regard to arterial flow, arterial stiffness and autonomic nervous system status.
Technology:
The CardioMeter proprietary software a variety of cardiovascular function indicators. The strongest indicator of significant CAD is the Respiratory Modulation Response (RMR). The RMR is attained from frequency domain analysis of the Pulse Wave (PW) signal measured during the test. In this analysis the spectrum (e.g., FFT, wavelet) of the measured PW signal is analyzed. The RMR provides a measure of the influence of modulating excitation (e.g., breath excitation) on the measured PW signal.
Proof of Concept:
The RMR was analyzed after baseline 20 seconds spontaneous breathing, followed by 70 seconds of guided deep breathing at 0.1 Hz. The RMR was tested on patients with significant CAD and proved to be effective.
Conclusions:
The novel digital PWA analysis test during deep breathing using the Cardiometer device is a simple, non-invasive bedside or office based test to detect significant CAD.

やはり、投資の波がイスラエルでもあるようだ。投資先を探しているのだろうか ？
「お互い知っている情報が違うから、どの分野のどういう事が価値があるのか？」そういう情報を共有したいのだろう。個人的に思うのは、どんなものでも投資家が 1000人ぐらい集まれば、 1 人ぐらいは『君が好きになった』ぐらいの理由で投資する人もいるんじゃないかと思う。
「Participants」に参加するであろう人たちの、名前と所属が既にたくさん出ている。
このレベルの情報は、個人情報でも何でもないのだろう。イスラエルでは、友達の友達は友達的な雰囲気が強い。自分が初めてあった人でも、実際どうかはわからないが「何かをやるなら力を貸す」「私は、こういう人を知っているから照会して欲しかったら言ってくれ！」「こういう友達がいるが紹介しようか？」「誰々だったらそれについて詳しい、連絡しようか？」とか、結構普通に言われるのは大変嬉しく心強い。話が早い事はいいこととは限らないが、話が早いのである。知らない人から電話がかかってくるのは、日常茶飯事らしい。

何かの記事で、イスラエルでは国際カンファレンスが頻繁に行われていると読んだことがあるが、自分は調べるまではわからなかったが、ここまで国際レベルのカンファレンスが開かれているんだと、驚き。
