In the past decade, Israel has become a worldwide valuable source of technological innovation.

Venture capital funds from all over the world are making large investments in early-stage hi-tech and biotech companies in Israel.

According to the Israeli Money Tree (MT) Survey published by PwC Israel each quarter, nearly 50% of all investments in the Israeli hi-tech industry in 2005, came directly from foreign venture capital funds or private investors.

For many years now, Israeli industry has been the target of large-scale investments by numerous global technology companies, Intel, IBM, Microsoft Cisco are, in a nutshell, example of hi-tech corporations which maintain their cutting-edge research and development activities here in Israel.

In addition, the Israeli companies we are all of, such as TEVA, Zoran, Given Imaging and many others, have made Israel worldwide leader in technological innovation.

All these are the result of the unique, continuous and fertile dialog we have here in Israel, between the academy and the industry.

As a global firm, we at PwC see ’The Israel Innovation Summit’ as a platform for introducing these innovations to top experts and corporate investors from around the world.

On behalf of PwC Israel, I am happy to host you in a summit, which in my opinion is a unique opportunity for an in-depth discussion on the future trends in global innovation.
