This is why Elron and its partners of this event recognized the need to have an innovation summit for Israel, where technology innovation is placed in the center stage, by bringing together under one roof, the innovation from the academic institutions, research centers and the industry to parade Israeli Innovation achievements.
Of all places Israel, we decided to hold this summit in Haifa because this city, the capital of the North, is a world class technology innovation centers, with academic centers like the Technion, research centers like Rafael, Intel, IBM, Microsoft and our high-tech Silicon Valley stretched between Haifa, Yokneam, Migdal Ha’emek and more.
As many of you know, Elron Electronic industries started and operated in Haifa for many years.
Over the last 44 years Elron identified innovative technologies and built mani Israeli success stories with global impact such as: Elbit systems, Elscint/Elbit Medical Imaging, Orbotech, Zoran, and more recently Given Imaging; the world innovator of the Video capsule Endoscopy for GI diagnosis.
Many of our group companies will present at this conference, reflecting on our commitment to continue being a leader in the Israeli high-tech industry.
Our vision is that this first Israel Innovation Summit will become the major annual Israeli technology conference, our technology innovation celebration of tomorrow’s breakthroughs.
