今日は、このイノベーションサミットアワードの受賞者のUzia Galil氏のコメント。

The First Israel Innovation Award is being presented to Uzia Galil in recognition of the technological vision and innovative spirit he has pursued throughout his life-long commitment to the high-tech industry in Israel, as well as his leadership and contributions to the development of Israel as a world leader in innovative advanced technology.
In addition to being one of the original pioneers of Israel’s high-tech industry, Uzia Galil is universally hailed as its spiritual father.
His name is synonymous in Israel with advanced technology in a broad spectrum of fields, including medical equipment developed by companies he founded in Haifa, and defense-oriented and information technologies.
More recently, Uzia Galil has become interested in the development and implementation of medical IT for the benefit of mankind, and established the Galil Center for Tele-Medicine and Medical Cybernetics at the Technion.
Uzia Galil gained a B.Sc.EE from the Technion, going on to eam his M.Sc.EE from Purdue.
The Technion, Weizman institute, New York Polytecnic University and Ben-Gurion University have all awarded him Honorary Doctorates.
He is also the recipient of the Israel Prize.
It is a honor to congratulate this exceptionally visionary and accomplished individual as the first recipment of the Israel Innovation Award
